On Friday 10 September 1994, the West of Scotland Hi-Fi Club sent a delegation to visit the BBC and the Hi-Fi News Exhibition in London, to mark the tenth anniversary of the Club's formation. This Newsletter reports on our experiences during the weekend, from the Friday evening to the Sunday evening, concentrating on the visit to the BBC and on evaluating in depth the wide range of high-end hi-fi equipment auditioned at the show. There is also a short preamble during which the more convivial aspects of the weekend are touched upon. But only briefly, of course. |
This report was typed on a Tandy 102 actually during the event, and edited later. It is hoped that this will explain the somewhat idiosyncratic style (it's called slurring your typing). |

This outing of the Hi-Fi Club took place many years ago. The original newssheet was printed (in full colour) with the suggestion that members should book up for the Twentieth Anniversary Bash, which seemed such a long way away at that time . . .
We're now closer to our 20th Anniversary than we are to our 10th!
